CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST/TECHNICAL MANAGER/PROGRAM MANAGER

Applications are invited from qualified, creative, self-motivated scientists for “Chief Technologist/ Technical Manager/Program Manager” positions in the “Centre for Brain Development and Repair’’ project funded by the Government of India, Department of Biotechnology:

The Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), in partnership with the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) (http://www.ncbs.res.in) and the University of Edinburgh, has established the Centre for Brain Development and Repair (CBDR) at the NCBS/inStem campus in Bangalore, India. CBDR’s mission is to understand the cellular, physiological and behaviour basis for Developmental and Degenerative Brain Disorders with an initial focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual Disability.

We are recruiting experienced scientists, preferably with technical and managerial expertise to be managers of each of the following integrated research fields:

1) disease modelling using human pluripotent stem cells, 2) novel rodent behavioural paradigms, 3) in vivo and in vitro electrophysiology and imaging and 4) synaptic and circuit modelling.

The prescribed qualification/experience is Ph.D or Masters in Engineering along with appropriate research experience. Salary and benefits will be attractive and will be commensurate with qualification/experience and suitability for the post/performance in the interview.

Appointments to these posts are made for one year at a time, and renewed subject to review. Those selected will be part of a well-funded, highly collaborative team of researchers working in state-of-the-art facilities. Age will not be a bar for outstanding candidates.
