World Health Day is celebrated on April 7th every year. It is an initiative taken by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness about the overall health and well-being of people across the world. The theme of this year's celebration is "Building a Fairer, Healthier World."

In commemoration of World Health Day, inStem hosted an interview with Dr. Dhandapany Perundurai, Scientist at inStem. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality globally. Dr. Dhandapany’s lab at inStem is interested in understanding three major forms of Cardiovascular diseases including, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease and coronary heart disease. His research work is focused on exploring new genes, mechanisms and relevant drugs that have significant clinical and curative impact on cardiomyopathies.

Dr. Dhandapany spoke on how to achieve good cardiovascular health during this interview.
